Corunna (A Coruña in Galician) is a beautiful city placed in the north-west coast of Galicia, and belongs to a wider touristic area called Rias Altas. Population of Corunna metropolitan area 350.000 inhabitants, the biggest city in Galicia.

The Campus of Elvina

Computer Science is located in the Campus of Elvina sited in the city of Corunna. This is one of the five campus of the University of Corunna.

From Motorway E-1 to CS

Follow Motorway E-1 to Corunna (A Coruña) exit which is the last one. It is important to stay to the right. Take first right marked for Coliseum, go through underpass. Your objective is to change direction as when comming from Corunna Downtown. At the end of the underpass move to the left lane. Take left marked for Santiago. You will be in the motorway in opposite direction as before. Do not incorporate to it. Stay in the right lane. At the end of this lane, take most right marked Campus Elviña. After a few meters you will see the buildings of the campus. Computer Sience is on the left, you have two choices: take the first left and go to parking lot; or take the third left to parking lot. The white building with red windows is Computer Sience. There are other posibilities, as shown on the map above, but these are not available for a few months. Travelling to Corunna

By Plane

Corunna Airport has international flights from/to Paris and London every two days. Five flights from/to Madrid, and two flights from/to Barcelone daily. The flight to Madrid is 1 hour long and to Barcelone is one hour 15 minutes long.

The airport is near Corunna city (11 Km, 7 Miles). Taxi service is the best choice. The University Campus of Elviña is by the airport road.

Santiago International Airport has a lot of flights from/to Madrid, Barcelone, Bilbao, Seville, Las Palmas, Tenerife (Canary Islands), daily. International flights from/to Paris, Francfort, London, Geneva, Zurich, Rome and Brussels daily.

The Santiago airport is 70 Km. (40 miles) away from Corunna city by motorway.

By Boat

Corunna Harbour is one of the biggest in Europe with a lot of boats every day. You can enjoy shipping to Corunna by one of the following cruise ships in the next months:

Silver Cloud, Oriana, Camberra, Black Prince, Caledonian Star, Southern Cross, Polaris, Dalmacija, Maasdam, Seabourn Spirit, Berlin, Costa Marina, Astra I, Queen Elizabeth, Black Watch.

By Car

Two motorways take you to Corunna City. If you come from the South of Galicia and Portugal the motorway to Vigo, Tui and Valenca do Minho (Portugal) is the best choice. There are 180 Km. (110 miles) to the Portugal border.

From the East of Galicia and Spain the motorway to Lugo and Madrid, or to Lugo, Burgos and Barcelone is another possibility. The distance from Corunna to Madrid is 600 Km (350 miles) and to Barcelone is 1000 Km (600 miles).
